P.E. Kit
All children are required to take part in P.E. as part of our curriculum. Children are required to wear the following PE kit on their allocated PE days.
All PE items can be purchased from retailers- we do not require parents to purchase branded items.

• Trainers

Extreme Haircuts
Extreme haircuts are not permitted in school (‘extreme’ being any haircut that is considered by the school to be significantly different so as to cause distraction to others, and therefore their learning; and therefore not in keeping with the school’s ethos). This includes the shaving of tramlines, letters, patterns, logos or names into child’s hair. No colours or styles which would be considered as extreme are allowed and no extreme graduation of cut and hair length across the hair. We strongly advise that parents/carers check with school before they get their child’s hair cut if they are unsure in anyway as staff are always happy to help. If children arrive in school will such haircuts then a letter will be sent home outlining the school policy and the parents/carers will be asked to rectify the child’s haircut. A letter will then be sent to parents/carers outlining the school policy.

Jewellery
We do not allow the children to wear jewellery including stud earrings to school for safety reasons. Watches may be worn by the children but smart watches are not allowed. We do not allow the children to wear jewellery including stud earrings to school for safety reasons. Please note: Teachers are not permitted to remove earrings for pupils.

The role of Parents and carers
We ask all parents who send their children to our school to support the Sacred Heart Catholic School Uniform Policy. We believe that parents have a duty to send their children to school correctly dressed and ready for their daily schoolwork. Parents should ensure that their child has the correct uniform, and that it is clean, in good repair and is named clearly. If a parent has difficulties, for any reason, with fulfilling the uniform requirements, they are asked to speak confidentially to a senior member of staff to discuss the issues. Parents should be assured that we will do all we can to help.
