Executive Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. I hope that you find the website both useful and informative.

Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Our website will allow you to make an informed choice to explore what Sacred Heart School has to offer.

As a parent of three children myself, I know that all parents want their children to feel safe, secure and happy at school. They also want their children to achieve. Here at Sacred Heart all children are encouraged, supported and challenged to become the best they can be.

Although academic success is important, we are a caring community which aims to promote a respect and understanding of all individuals through a sharing of our Catholic Faith and the love of Christ. All children feel a sense of worth, knowing that they are valued and loved by God in their uniqueness.

We seek to create a learning environment which enables our children to succeed to their best ability and which recognises and values their various talents.
We acknowledge the importance of our role in support for the family, the parish and the wider community.

In summary, our school is much more than just an educational establishment. It is a place which offers children the stability and enrichment that they need to become the unique individuals God created them to be. I believe we provide an ethos where children learn effectively and develop into well rounded and responsible Catholic citizens.

Please take time to explore and enjoy our website and if you require any further details, please contact us.

Bishops stand in solidarity with US sisters and brothers as they challenge the evil of racism and the brutal killing of George Floyd Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020

“We stand in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in the USA as they challenge the evil of racism and the brutal killing of George Floyd. As the US Bishops made clear: ‘we cannot turn a blind eye to these atrocities and yet still try to profess to respect every human life. We serve a God of love, mercy, and justice.’ “Systemic racism is embedded in our own society. The disproportionate harm suffered by BAME people throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted profound inequalities, marginalisation and injustice here in the UK. The peaceful Black Lives Matter protests taking place in our towns and cities this week reflect the understandable anger that so many people feel about this. “As Catholics we recognise that racism is an evil which must be opposed; we all have a responsibility for actively promoting racial justice. Whenever we ignore racism or dismiss BAME people’s experience of it, we are complicit in violations of human dignity. We pray for God’s help to overcome racism in all its forms and that we might protect everyone who suffers its consequences. We are all made in God’s image.”
