Refugee Week June 2022
During refugee, we all the children in school participated in a joint project with St Mary and St John Catholic Primary School who are part of our Multi-academy.
School of Sanctuary Award
We are now an official School of Sanctuary.
Thank you to Barbara and Denise for coming to our assembly and presenting us with our award.
It will take pride of place in our entrance.
Walk with Little Amal
Our children and staff joined together in Birmingham with the children from St Mary and St John to see Amal on her walk.
What an experience!
Beautifual Ukrainian flower headbands
Learning about Somalia by making Massai necklaces and walking together for refugees.
Learning about South Sudan and baking Mandazi bread.
Our Year 4 children shared a beautiful refugee story with our Year 1 children.
An amazing example of our older children teaching KS1.
The children in Year 5 created posters and marched to raise awareness of the refugee crisis.
They also created puppets whilst learning about Myanmar
Our simple acts of welcome.

Year 6 have learned so much about Afghanistan. They created kites and created wonderful welcome messages for the children of
St Mary and St John School.
Donations for St Chad's Sanctuary
Our generous donations of toiletries and food for St Chad's.
Ending our wonderful week with joint Collective Worship and sharing our work with St Mary and St John School.
